Our home has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The master bedroom has a large sized ensuite with bath and a walk in wardrobe, plus views and a little decking area flowing out to a lovely rural view where you can spot our two sheep Vegas and Milkie. We live in a little non gated community with a community pool and tennis courts although the swimming pool will close in april for the season. Our ranch slider doors open up to a large decking area where you can sit and sip your wine while watching the sun set over the green hills of the Waikato. The kitchen has all modern amenities such as dishwasher, microwave and a very handy induction hob. We have sky tv as well as a chromecast so you can use our WIFI to cast all your favorite shows to the flat screen tv should you wish to do so. If you are more into watching dvd’s, we have a dvd player with a small collection of dvd’s for you to use. It’s private and well maintained and except for the occasional screeches from our local cockatoo called Baby (who may or may not visit you), it’s very quiet. If you wanted to go for a walk up our lane you may even spot the local donkey! We live 20 minutes away from the Hamilton CBD and 20 minutes away from Raglan. Whatawhata, with a few great cafes, a petrol station, a handful of boutique shops is only 4 minutes drive away. For the little ones we have board games you are welcome to use. There is an enclosed dog run if you wanted to bring your dog (but preferably discuss with us what type of dog as we do have quite a few sheep around we would like to keep safe 🙂 . Things to see and do: walk around the taitua arboretum, a beautiful trail where you can bring your dog and take in the local farm life, about 5 minutes from where our house is situated. Or go and explore Hamilton and it’s exquisite gardens. Drive 10 minutes towards Raglan and feast your eyes on the astonishing Bridal Veil Falls. And then of course there is lovely Raglan itself: visit the well known The Shack Cafe and indulge in some beautiful artisan food, or hire some paddle boards and enjoy the quiet Raglan Harbour waters. However the mood strikes you, there is always something to do, while giving you plenty of scope to relax in the tranquility of our rural setting if you want to unwind. We are looking to house swap weekends mainly as we both work and study, and we are looking at Easter this year in particular.
