Here are a few of our TOP TIPS to make your Holiday Swap a success…….

People like reading about your bach or home, but pictures really sell it. The more good quality, clear pictures of your bach or home, the better!

Before you swap simply clear one kitchen cupboard and a little wardrobe space. Leave your bach or home clean and tidy.

Put anything valuable or precious away in a locked cupboard or leave with a friend.

‘How do we hand over the keys?’ It’s easy. Just leave them with a neighbour/other safe place or pop a spare set in the post.

Before I Holiday Swap what should I do to get my property ready?

Make room

Make some space in drawers, wardrobes and kitchen cupboards so your guests can spread out and enjoy your bach or home.

Lock up or move out

Got some valuables/precious item ?  Either securely stow them somewhere at home where you know they’ll be safe (whether that’s a high shelf or a filing cabinet) or move them out to a friend’s or family member’s.

Get scrubbing

No one wants to arrive at a Holiday Swap to a dirty toilet and a sink full of dishes.

We really recommend chatting through cleaning before your swap so expectations are set early. Putting in some elbow grease to give your bach or home a good spring clean before you swap is a good idea.

Get your guide on

It’s really helpful to leave your fellow swapper a guide to your bach/home and area to welcome them and remove any potential hurdles during the swap.

And Finally…….

At the end of your Holiday Swap leave the bach or home as you found it, clean and tidy.

Don’t forget to say thank you

A special trip doesn’t have to end when you get home. Carry on the good feelings from your trip by letting your fellow swapper know how much you enjoyed staying at their bach or home. A simple email or a thank you card when you leave is a great idea.
