December News: Christmas Greetings…..
Best wishes from Holiday Swap for the upcoming festive season and here’s hoping you have lots of lovely swaps in 2017!
An invitation to participate in a sharing economy study
Some researchers from Victoria University of Wellington and Stanford University are running a study on the “sharing economy.”
The heart of the sharing economy is the coming together of like- minded people who exchange accommodation, goods, and services with each other. By being a member of Holiday Swap you’re already a part of the sharing economy—and while you’re at it, you get to enjoy an inexpensive holiday somewhere new!
If you have 5 minutes up your sleeve, they would really appreciate your participation in the study. Simply click on the link below to get started & go in a draw to win one of 10 x $25 prezzy cards.
Holiday Swap in the press:
We were really pleased to be included in a recent copy of Eastlife magazine in Auckland – a great article all about how Holiday Swap started and the benefits of swapping your home or holiday house.
We have also been featured in the January issue of Next magazine. Spreading the word about Holiday Swap
Over 200 members:
We now have over 200 members who have signed up to Holiday Swap and we are growing weekly!
Not everyone has added their property, if you have not, hopefully you can get round to this over the festive break or in the new year. I am more than happy to do this for you. Just email me: firstname.lastname@example.org
We have lots of great looking properties on the Holiday Swap site now. Remember it’s all about the photos!
We suggest at least 6 good quality photos including the following:
- The outside of your home
- Any outside space you have – deck/garden/yard etc
- Your living room/ lounge
- Your kitchen
- At least one bathroom
- At least one bedroom
If you do the above it will increase your chances of getting swap requests.
We encourage all members to become ID verified. The Holiday Swap community is all about trust between members. All our members have the option to become ID verified. Members who are ID verified tend to get more swap requests. To become ID verified simply email me a copy of your passport or driver’s license and a recent rates/utility bill for your property. We do not store any of this information and it is deleted once we have seen it.
That’s it for the year from me 🙂 We would love to hear about your swaps over the summer months – just a few words to let me know how you got on would be great.

Bye for now – Happy Christmas & all the best for 2017!
